With three fully trained handlers in school, Chester offers targeted support and interventions for students from listening to them read to emotional regulation. 

Chester has been coming into school since he was 11 weeks old and has developed so much during this period of socialisation. He loves greeting the children on the gate every day.

His assessment summary states that:

“Chester has settled in wonderfully at The King's CE Academy. He loves being around people and is especially happy in the company of children. With his friendly nature and eagerness to engage, he will make a fantastic Dog Mentor.”

Chester's activities and presence around school is fully risk assessed and contact with him is always voluntary.
