Religious Education

At The King’s Academy, our Sixth Form provision includes a comprehensive Religious Education programme that reflects and upholds our distinctive Christian ethos. We offer a broad and varied curriculum, exploring world religions, key religious perspectives, ethical frameworks, and contemporary moral issues. Students are encouraged to engage in thoughtful discussion, reflect on their own beliefs and world views, and develop a deeper understanding of the diverse perspectives that shape society. This approach fosters critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and an informed appreciation of faith and ethics.

We regularly welcome external visitors from local churches, mosques, humanitarian organisations, medical professionals, and other community leaders to enrich students’ learning experiences. In addition, we organise visits to places of worship within both the local and wider community, providing students with the opportunity to explore religious practices and traditions firsthand. These experiences deepen their understanding of different faiths and encourage an appreciation of religion from multiple viewpoints.

Through this programme, students develop not only academic knowledge but also personal insight, empathy, and an awareness of the ethical and moral challenges facing the modern world.
